Here we are, well into summertime, for my first blog entry in 2020. Do people still read blogs these days? I know I haven’t in a long time, but since my last life update was over a year ago, I thought I’d give this a shot. I’ve been meaning to get back on here anyway, so now seems to be a swell time to do so. Will it be deemed inappropriate if I still wish you all a happy new year with everything that’s happened between then and now? Genuine question: how are you all doing? How are you coping
Whoa, it has been a hot minute, friends! Is this the part where I greet y’all a HAPPY NEW YEAR? Does it still count if we’re six months and five days into 2019? I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that I’ve been away from this space for this long. Reflecting on 2018 made me realize and appreciate the intangible things even more. My heart explodes just thinking about the abundance of love, support, and prayers we received from our dear family and friends this year. They’re truly what
If I were to describe December in one word, I would say that it’s been hectic. Getting things done around the holidays is next to impossible if we’re being completely honest here. You best believe that I was already counting down the days until I’m off of work as soon as December kicked off! I know it doesn’t make any difference, but I’m going on here for my monthly wrap-up a few days earlier than usual because I intend to spend (and enjoy) my holiday break with family and friends. I can’t believe that Roan and I have been married for
Why, yes, we are down to the last 30 days of the year, yet I haven’t had the chance to collect my thoughts about the month of October. It went by too fast that I couldn’t think of any significant event other than that one Friday night that Roan and I went out with my cousin- and siblings-in-law.
