Catholic Missalette at St. Anne Church | Krabi, Thailand (December 2013)

Finding a Catholic church where my husband and I would hear Sunday mass was one tricky task we have encountered during our week-long honeymoon in Krabi, Thailand. We didn’t have to leave for Manila until Monday morning, so there was no way we’re missing a holy day of obligation for the world. With the help of the hotel staff, we were able to find St. Agnes Church, the nearest one in the city. It was only one TukTuk ride away from our hotel.

The photo above was one of the many books written in Thai language we found sitting on top of each pew; perhaps a guide for individual prayer and reflection. It was the first time Roan and I heard mass in a foreign language. We didn’t understand a word uttered, but we didn’t feel any different during the Eucharistic celebration.
