Summer Gone Too Soon

If I may be completely honest, it kind of saddens me that the idea of spending summer season with the family at the beach had been next to impossible in the last couple of years. We used to go on week-long holidays, driving somewhere up North or further down South. Being away for a long time is not feasible anytime soon due to limited manpower in my brother’s business. It doesn’t necessarily mean, however, that it’s not okay to take another day off for some quick rest and relaxation.

Two Saturdays ago, we were invited to the inaugural blessing/grand opening of Summit Point Country Club in Batangas. My parents acquired a land there a long time ago, and we’ve been visiting the place every once in a while. The last time we were there, however, was in December 2008, at the time when my relatives from Sydney were in Manila for a month-long holiday.

We all thought we’d be able to at least use some of their amenities, but the place was packed, so instead we just looked around and took some photos*.

Though we didn’t get the chance to take a splash in the pool or play in the bowling area, we did enjoy our time together as a family. At least we got that much-needed break even for a day. Oh, summer gone too soon!

  • Summer is done there already?!Anyway, that pool is grogeous! Doesn’t look like there’s anyone there 😛 How were you not in that water basking in the sun!!

    • There were actually some kids swimming in the pool when we got there. We actually asked them to move aside for a while. Lol just kidding! IDK, there were a lot of people in other areas (i.e., basketball court, badminton court, table tennis room, tennis court, bowling center, etc.). We were lucky the water pool was empty while taking photos, BUT it would’ve been better if we were in it!
