I’ve been living in San Diego for a year and half now, but I haven’t really explored much of San Diego as a local. I mean, my last San Diego-related post was from Christmas last year. Yikes. In an attempt to rectify this, Roan and I got ourselves annual memberships at the San Diego Zoo. We thought we got a really good deal with our membership since it includes unlimited entry to the Safari Park in Escondido, too.
Roan had a mini-break from work in November, so we had plenty of time to do what we enjoy most: travelling. I know it doesn’t seem like it, but we haven’t been to a lot of places around here in San Diego enough. We are always in search for places we could easily drive to and fro without having to stay overnight.
Perhaps I should include this to my goals for 2016: publish up-to-date events on the blog as they happened; however, doing so may contradict with my other goal of always being present. If I’m looking for an excuse, then ringing in the new year with flu-like symptoms was it. I could tell you the other reason right now, but that deserves another post in the future.
I’d be lying if I tell you I’m having the best Christmas of my life. It’s my first Christmas away from home, and I find it difficult to process how to be cheerful towards my most favorite holiday of the year. Roan and I have been married for two years, but we’re only starting our own traditions now since I just moved here in the US this year.
Greetings from Santa Ana! It may sound like I’m far away from home, but it’s actually just under two hours drive from San Diego. Roan and I are staying here from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday evening since he’s attending a 2-day training/seminar in the South Coast area. I decided to join Roan on this trip to get a chance to explore around the city while he does what he came here for.
