    With only three days until Christmas, I guarantee that the holiday spirit has taken over everyone else in the world. While you’re at it, let me share a few photos from a recent event my brother and I went to that has something to do with the Christmas season.

    Among the highly-anticipated events my Alma Mater, the University of Santo Tomas, offers is Paskuhan in December. It is often celebrated in anticipation of Misa de Gallo or Simbang Gabi, which is a Catholic tradition in preparation for Christmas Day. The university campus has been opened for the public since UST was declared as a National Historical Landmark in 2011 (Quadricentennial Celebration). The last time we both went to this event was the last December before we graduated; so when my brother said that he’s going, I immediately agreed to join him.

  • Antipolo 2014

    everal weeks ago, I wrote about a tradition that my family has observed for more than 25 years. Well, guess what? It’s that time of the year again!

    We had planned on going last Saturday, but due to last-minute installations and repairs in my brother’s store for its soft opening the following day, Dad decided to call it off for the next weekend. The first week of business had been crazy, and while everyone deserves a short break, we find it appropriate to pay respect and offer thanksgiving for the successful launch by visiting the National Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage in Antipolo, Rizal.
