Insta Lately: Vol. 16

I know what you're thinking—how come Jae managed to blog about things other than her recent trip to Washington? Trust me, I ask myself the same thing, too, but if it makes you any better, I'm already working on it.😅 Little progress is still progress, right?😁 Meanwhile, let's talk about what's on my Instagram lately.

An Introduction: Intentional Travel to Washington

An Introduction: Intentional Travel to Washington

After a month (of procrastinating), I finally got around with editing photos and writing about our recent trip to Washington with my two sisters-in-law. In true Jae fashion, this is going to be a multiple-part series of travel diaries since I want to share not only the photos I took, but bits and pieces of how our trip went as well.

What's for Dinner: Pink Salmon Patties

What's for Dinner: Pink Salmon Patties

We don't see Roan's parents a lot, but when we do, they make sure that we always bring something to keep in our kitchen pantry when we part. In this case, a stash of canned salmon (I just checked, and we still have five left). I like salmon, alright, but I prefer to eat them fresh out of the ocean (i.e., salmon sashimi/sushi or oven-baked salmon) because I find a canned salmon's smell pungent. It's a Wrap, May!

It's a Wrap, May!

Oh, hey! Another [end of the month], another round-up! How was your long weekend? Funny how I used to blog from at least ten times a month down to just twice or if I'm being generous, once. If I may share, I was firm on going to the university I went to in college because students wore school uniforms. Unlike most kids my age, then, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on clothes, and still worry about what to wear to school on a daily basis.

It's a Wrap, April!

This month's round-up is going to be a little different from the previous ones since I haven't been able to blog a lot these days. It's going to be chatty—I'm going to fill you in with some life updates like friends catching up with each other. While you're at it, grab a cup (or a glass) of your favorite drink, and let's get on it.

A Year Ago Today: A Look Back

A Year Ago Today: A Look Back

Last week, a random question popped up in my Miitomo app: "What's one of your bittersweet memories?," and it brought me back to that time Roan came home to the Philippines to get me. Exactly a year ago today, I immigrated to the US, and this was my answer to the question.
