I'm probably the last person to care about what's latest on fashion trends because (a) I'm forever insecure about my body; (b) I'm awkward; and (c) fashion is such a fast-paced industry that nobody has time to keep up with (or so I think). If I may share, I was firm on going to the university I went to in college because students wore school uniforms. Unlike most kids my age, then, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on clothes, and still worry about what to wear to school on a daily basis.Read More
This month's round-up is going to be a little different from the previous ones since I haven't been able to blog a lot these days. It's going to be chatty—I'm going to fill you in with some life updates like friends catching up with each other. While you're at it, grab a cup (or a glass) of your favorite drink, and let's get on it.Read More
Tonight's the first time in weeks that I didn't join my husband to school after work. We both agreed to drop me off at home before Roan heads to school in order to catch up on some household chores. In the back of my mind, I thought I'd squeeze some time to sit down and blog, too. As much as I'd like to lay down and rest for a bit, I went on to do the laundry, clean the kitchen, and prepare our lunch for tomorrow. Blogging hasn't been a priority these days, obviously, but it doesn't mean I'm quitting altogether. At least not yet.Read More
As I begin to draft this entry, I relied on several random notes I stuck in my planner because the last two weeks had been crazy, to say the least. The lack of regular posts here on the blog is the result of a surprise blessing. In case you missed it on Twitter, I finally got a job! Allow me to discuss it briefly here.Read More
I've been meaning to write a confessions kind of post since last week, but recent changes, which I'm going to talk about further in this post, have dominated my life in general. What could possibly be the culprit of my two-week unplanned blogging hiatus?Read More
It's been a month since Roan and I went on a road trip to Arizona, but the memories remain fresh in my mind. That's probably because I've been working on putting together all the short videos I took during our trip since we got back. Note that most footages were taken in the car, while I had my or Roan's phone set up on a tripod, so they're naturally shaky. In the spirit of #FlashbackFriday, here's a 7-minute video montage from our Grand Canyon trip. Don't forget to watch this in HD!
Welcome to the second installment of my monthly round-up! The first one I launched in January was successful; thanks, guys! It's only been two months since the new year kicked off, but things had been absolutely crazy, at least in our household. It's the good kind of crazy, so this girl is not even complaining! OK, enough blabbing, and onto the main reason why I brought you here.Read More
It's that time of the year again, my faithful readers! It's SCATTERBRAIN's 4th Birthday!
I've been debating since the beginning of January whether to host a giveaway again or not this year, but with the generosity of some friends, we're able to make this happen!
SCATTERBRAIN has become a huge part of my life. It's like that friend you can always rely on when things get crazy or when they get rough. My online presence has evolved throughout the years, and I owe it to every single person who kept coming back in my little slice of the Internet pie, supporting me in many ways I could imagine.
It takes a blogger to know that online friendship developed through time is not superficial. It is possible if given the same amount of care and respect you would give your friends in real life. No one else but the people who are part of this community gets this, and I won't even begin to explain.
To every single one of you who has been there all along, thank you! Only God knows if this blog will remain as relevant as it is now in the next 5 or even 10 years, but if you ask me, I want SCATTERBRAIN to be always remembered for the same reason you find yourself here today.
THANKS AGAIN, AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
A few things to take note of, though:
Good luck, everyone!
