Hi! My name is Jae.

I’m terrible with introductions, so I’ll just let you in on a few things about myself: (1) I hail from Manila, but have called San Diego my new home since April 2015; (2) I’m an Industrial Engineering graduate—worked as a Production Editor for a UK-based publishing company for nearly five years, then as a Technical Writer for a pharmaceutical company (where my husband Roan worked, too) for two years, and now as a Quality Assurance Specialist II for a leading company in the medical devices industry; and (3) Roan and I’ve been married since December 2013, but we’ve known each other since we were 15 (no, we’re not high school sweethearts).

Welcome to SCATTERBRAIN! I have been around the Internet since 2006, but only took blogging [a little] seriously in 2010, and the blog name hasn’t changed since. What I write in this ‘brain dump’ have evolved into a lot of different things over the years. This blog is a chronicle of sorts, a repository of personal thoughts and experiences about my new life in the United States. You will find me blogging about our travels and current lifestyle more in this space; if these are right up your alley, then this is a good place to hang around.

All entries are personally written by myself unless stated otherwise. If you are concerned with the content, or wish to use anything from this site, please get in touch with me via my contact form. When you have time to spare, do read the FAQ page to answer common questions that you may have.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you stay awhile!
